How long does potty training dogs last?
We have been crating my 14 week old golden retriever since we got him at weeks old. he doesn't go to the bathroom in his crate and we constantly bring him out to go to the bathroom. when we bring him out we say " go potty" and he knows he has to go and do his business. he also goes to the sliding door to let us know he has to go. but at least once during the day he will have an accident 99% of the time pee in the house on the floor. We don't know how to stop this we have told him " no" when we have caught him in the act and bring him outside right afterward. How long does this last and what can we do to fix this?

i have an 11 month old shiba inu. she doesnt really want to pee outside, but she loves to pee in the crate and lay down in it. we take her out all the time, we give her water then 15 20 min later we take her out and she wont pee. then she wont pee for the whole day. until she gets in her crate and she will let loose. how can i stop her from doing this?

I've had my dog for about 4 months now. He's a year old and I adopted him from an animal rescue. He was abused by his previous owner and is pretty skiddish although he does trust me. He's been coming along great except for with his potty training. He still has accidents, I'd say about 1 a day. I take him out as much as possible and he knows to go outside. When I let him out he often goes. The problem is, if he needs to go when he is inside the house, he doesn't even alert anyone or " ask to go out" he just goes somewhere in the house. It's very frustrating and getting hard to live with. We have another dog who doesn't have problems but he isn't learning from watching. He also isn't the kind of dog who marks his territory. When he goes, he goes a lot. It's not like he will just go a little bit and then come inside and go some more. HELP I am running out of patience
Crate / potty training dog?
Im trying to Crate potty train my dog book says that when dog is let out of crate, to bring the dog straight outside to unirate. However, after hes been outside and I let him back in, do I put him back in the crate until next potty break? Or can i let him out to wander around or is it just in and out of the crate till hes trained? As sometimes , if he doesnt urninate when he's outside, hell still urinate inside Really getting confused what to do? Thanks guys, so its really more watching him and rewarding him when he goes toilet outside.....other than that just to keep a good eye on him thats great , thanks again. The fact he is aroudn 7 months old will this method still work?
Why would a potty trained dog pee all over the house.?
I've been puppy sitting my friend's dog since friday. I don't know if its afraid of the new environment or what, but I keep finding poop and pee from the dog. It's very annoying...I tried these little puppy pads things, they're supposed to attract the dog, they were no help whatsoeverI take it out fairly often.. for a while it would pee outside on the grass and poop inside the house, now it does both insideI take it out fairly often.. for a while it would pee outside on the grass and poop inside the house, now it does both inside
How to potty train dog to got outside?
i have a dog female and shes about 7 to 8 months already im guessing and a chihuahua about 3 months nowthe baby one doesnt yet know how to go on the pee pads but the oldest doesmost of the time she tends not to go on them but sometimes she doesntwell my mom is pretty much tired of the sometimes she wants me to train her to go outside since im always in school and she doesnt like cleaning after her iver tried taking her out feeding the at specific times but it doesnt seem to work any help??
Why is my potty trained dog peeing in the house when I'm right there?
I have a female toy poodle and she is one year old. Ever since we potty trained her she has been excellent with going to the bathroom outside. She didn't have an accident for a while until the other day. She peed on the floor when i was standing right there looking at her. Today she peed on my pillow and my bed again when i was right there watching her. She did recently get spayed and i thought that may be why but the doctor said there's no effect that the spay would have on her like that. Is there any other reason for this besides an infection?As soon as she peed i told her no and thats bad and put her outside and told her to go potty.When she pees it is a full out squat resulting in a decent sized puddle like any normal pee she would do outside
My potty trained dog just pooed and peed on my bed?
I have a two year old dog that is potty trained. I get back from work today and to my suprise saw undigested grass leafs on my bed mixed with some brown poop on my bed. There was also urine stay around the poo What happened? How do I prevent this from happening again?
Potty trained dog peeing in kennel?
My friends healthy female dog...around a year in age peed in her kennel which she has never done before. At first I thought maybe a thunderstorm had scared the pee right out of her but come to find out we didn't have one today. Also there is quite a lot of pee. Her entire underside is covered. Should we be concerned? Any ideas?
Potty train dog to go on the grass?
My doberman currently does his business on the concrete cement as oppose to the grass lawn in my backyard. there is a good amount of grass space so I don't understand why he goes on the concrete. maybe the previous owner forced him to.. how do i get him to go on the lawn rather than the cement?I've tried moving his poo on the grass as one person had suggested but it doesnt work.i cannot place objects to block the cement area, as another person had suggested, because there is just too much concrete to cover the grass lawn is equally as big .
Why is my potty trained dog suddenly peeing inside?
My dog is nine months old, has been crate trained for months now. I've been on a potty routine w her for months and now this week shes been peeing inside. She walks right in front of us and pees. She just recently did it twice within 1 hour, after peeing outside.She is peeing alot, seems to be a full pee. Its strange because The first time she did it tonight we took her out immediately and she peed more outside only a little . Then an hour later she walks right up to us and peed.
My adult potty-trained dog keeps peeing in the house?
My miniature male poodle has latly been peeing in the house. he is fully potty trained and he goes out regularly. He is 13 years old but it's not like he's having accidents he is actually lifting his leg to pee on things. I know this because my mom just found him doing this today and other days. Is there any way to prevent this? Yes he is crate trained as well and he is in there when we are gone so we know he does this while we are home. Thank you
